WHY I CREATED MINDSET & US
Hi, I'm Shilpa 

As a child, I was painfully shy and lacked confidence. For a long time, I believed that was just who I was.


It wasn’t until adulthood - through coaching and years of self-development — that I discovered something life-changing: 

Confidence, emotional resilience, and self-worth are NOT personality traits.


They’re skills.

Skills that can be learned, practiced and strengthened.

That understanding changed everything for me.

I became calmer, braver, and more confident.

When I became a mum, I knew I wanted my daughters to have these tools from the very beginning.

But I couldn’t find anything fun or simple that taught my kids these skills.

Then one day...

My daughter handed me a set of unopened oil paints.

I hadn’t painted since I was a teenager -but something woke up inside of me. I realised I could bring together my love of creating with over 20 years of study in neuroscience, wisdom, mindset and coaching.
Mindset & Us grew from that moment.

    Mindset & Us is designed to fit into real family life. Most parents spend just 2–10 minutes at a time — listening to a short prompt, reading a story together, or reflecting on a moment that’s already happening. This isn’t about adding more — it’s about using what’s already there.
  • My child is 5 / 8 / 10 — will this still work?
    Yes. Mindset & Us is designed for primary-aged children (5–10), with ideas and conversations that naturally adapt as your child grows. Younger children engage through stories and play, while older kids go deeper with reflection and discussion.



  • I’ve tried parenting courses before and didn’t finish them. How is this different?
    Mindset & Us isn’t a course to complete. There’s no “catching up” or falling behind. Support is there when you need it — through short prompts, community, and live sessions — so you can dip in and out as life allows.
